Seacell

Seacell is both good for your skin and eco-friendly. It goes through closed-loop production and no chemicals are released as waste. The organic brown algae is harvested above the regenerative part of the plant to encourage it to continue growing. Not even the blade used causes permanent damage. The brown algae is dried naturally and chemical treatment is not involved. The resources used to produce SeaCell is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

The fiber - both the base material and active substances - is made from eco-friendly, compostable, biodegradable, natural renewable raw materials. 

The seaweed component of our fabric was awarded the “Process Innovation” award at the European Business Awards for the Environment, making it an amazing solution for women's underwear.

It also has the following eco-friendly certifications: European Ecolabel, OEKO-TEXT Standard 100, OK compost HOME, and TITK- Degradability.

 

Tencel Lyocell

Tencel Lyocell fibers are made from sustainable wood pulp of beech trees and eucalyptus trees in a closed loop system that recovers and reuses any solvents used in order to achieve an eco-friendly production. Because of its low ecological impact, Tencel Lyocell fibers received the European Award for the Environment in the category Technology Award for Sustainable Development.

Tencel Lyocell fibers have the following certifications: USDA Certified Bio-Based Product, TUV Austria Belgium NV biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil, and marine conditions.

Why Eucalyptus trees? They grow quickly, it does not need pesticides or irrigation, and it can be grown on land that is not fit to grow food. It goes through a non-toxic production that can use half as much water as cotton production does.

 

Elastane

The Global Organic Textile Standard allows fabric to have 5% spandex while still being labeled organic. Although our fabric fits within the 5% elastane parameter, we believe in transparency and are continuously looking to innovate on an elastane alternative to make something that’s both high stretch and even more eco-friendly.
